Nicole Ryan, DNP FNP-BC (she/her)

Nicole is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing(DNP) degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2021. Her clinical interests and specialties include primary care, preventative medicine, integrative nutrition, LGBTQ health, women’s health, mental health, and gender-affirming care. She provides her patients with thorough care that is tailored to their individual needs.

Nicole received her undergraduate education at UH Manoa and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in pre-law. She then attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she studied holistic health and nutrition. She worked at the Hawaii State Capitol for Senator Rosalyn Baker, who chairs the Senate Committee on Health. Nicole has combined her background in law and policy with her clinical skills and passion for healthcare to provide equitable care for underserved and marginalized communities.

While completing her doctoral education, Nicole conducted both local and national research and co-authored peer-reviewed publications. She has investigated dental hygiene programs in Hawaii, healthcare worker wellness in Hawaii, and the attitudes and intentions of nurses across the U.S. toward vaccines during COVID-19.
